This cuvée is made from grapes grown on hillside plots overlooking the Rhône, planted with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Typical of the appellation’s wines, its 12-month ageing in large oak casks imparts subtle aromas of black fruit and spices. Powerful and full-bodied, it is the ideal accompaniment to roasts and game, a duck parmentier or a platter of charcuterie and distinctive cheeses.

PRODUCTION
This cuvée is made from grapes grown on plots overlooking the Rhône. Typical of the appellation’s wines, it is tannic and well-structured, and is aged in 50-hectolitre casks for 12 months.
TASTING NOTES
COLOUR: Intense red with ruby hues
NOSE: Fruity aromas of raspberry and blackcurrant, red berries, with hints of white pepper.
PALATE: The attack is supple, silky and heady. This wine is well-balanced between tannins, alcohol and liveliness. The aromas are dominated by spices, roasted notes and hints of black fruit, with a lovely long finish.
Enjoyable to drink now but can be laid down for a few years.

Pairs perfectly with braised beef cheek or roast rack of lamb.
